I'm curious whether anyone else finds the CD/MP3 "Random" (RDM) function to operate oddly in the 9-3s.

In my 2008 9-3, when I insert a CD and have set it for Random play, only the first jump is random; after that, the tracks are played in order. For example, if I put in a CD and select Random play, the player will jump to a random track like 7, but when I then tell it to play the next track, it will play in consecutive order – tracks 8, 9, 10, etc.

In other cars I've owned and rented, hitting "next" would lead to another random track rather than to the next consecutive one.

Is it just me, or does my Saab Random play operation for CDs seem like an odd implementation of Random play? I thought this was a software glitch, but my dealer told me that's how it actually works in the car.
