I couldn't agree more. I now have a bunch of useless buttons in my 2004 because of the lack of foresight. And the best GM could do was offer to disable OnStar once they found out it could accidentally drain the battery? I asked about having it disabled before that, since I had a couple of malfunctioning units and was told it could not be done... but they COULD put a replacement analog unit in each time.
