Thanks Anders, that was something that occurred to us, though I didn't know that about the Volvos (they must all come to you!).
The weird thing is it doesn't show code problems for the pressure sensor. ME9 has lots of checks for the fuel system for the self diagnostics - next time you get one go through all the value channels for the Engine.
The ECU monitors mixture with a wideband oxygen sensor, and ME9 actually has a channel for each cylinder that measures combustion stroke duration by measuring acceleration at the crankshaft from each power stroke (there's a built in 'Compression Test' simulation where the program will try to see if one cylinder has less compression than the others by seeing if it has a shorter or longer combustion duration than the others).
Do the Volvos throw codes for mixture or fuel trim also when the pressure sensors go, or only fuel pressure codes? Or do they just run badly?
Best,
Drew
