We have the vented rear rotors, what a breeze, my first time on this 9-3.
I purchased one of the piston - retracter cubes, had to grind down the narrowest set of nubs to fit.
Had to use a some fat-ass to get the piston back in, it did turn rather easy.
I remounted the caliper (rotor and pads out) and wedged a 6" long 1/2" extension behind the caliper while I turned(righty-tighty clockwise) and pushed.
Did not have to remove caliper mounting bracket - good thing cause I don't have above E16 socket. Rotors came off easy.
I like working on this car so far. My OG is easy but this car looks like
someone actually thought the layout thru. Carefully.
Wow don't have to fool with the parking brake to get the rotors off?
Don't have to service the parking brake every year? (putting OG9-3 cable #4 on today) - nirvana.
Whoops I'd post a pic but I'm over quota a reckon - 63Meg
