Another 2003 9-3 auto transmission question

Thanks in advance and I have read up on the postings here as well as on the web about auto transmission problems with 2003 9-3. Mine seems to be little different, so please let me explain.

2003 9-3 with approximately 100K miles. My daughter's car. Recently, she said the car seems to shift down when decelerating - i.e. when she is coming to a stop. It doesn't happen consistently, but occasionally. This is a recent problem, probably within the last month or so.

Where should I start to figure out what may be wrong. I have not looked at anything since the car is with my daughter at her college.
