That's funny, I had a V6 Aero where owner drove through a bunch of water and injested it too. Drank enough to shut itself down from no signal from AMM, but didn't get enough into the cylinders to lock it up, 2 of the 6 had some moisture in them, but no appreciable volume of water.
Look and see how far water got in there, and don't rule out you could have electrical problems if anything shorted out as well, depending on how high the water got.
Drain the engine and trans oil, I had water in both in the car I had, weeped in through the shaft seals probably.
The way the intercooler is shaped it traps a TON of water down in the bottom, the hoses come out the middle, and it will hold about a gallon of water below the hose attachment points.
You can pull a hose and put a siphon straw down in there to suck out the fluid, or remove the bumper and intercooler so you can dump it all out if you're up to it.
