I took a piece of plexiglass, 4 inches by 13 inches by 1/8 inch, and installed it the front end (toward front of the car) of the cabin air cleaner holder, securing it with duct tape. This acts as a water barrier but does not fully block air cleaner. We had 2 heavy rains after I installed this, and no water leak into the car. The front lower edge of the air cleaner holder is only about 1 inch tall--not tall enough for a heavy rain.
Does anyone think the piece of plexiglass will cause any problems?
Thanks.
