Quite a big step from the standard wheel and tire combo, but yeah, the 9-3SS chassis is quite good and sportier tires are easily accommodated. Myself, I switched the wheels and tires between my 9-5 Aero (225/45/17) and 9-3 SCV 2.0T. Both cars feel better to me.
As for the load rating, note that the 9-5 is a larger, heavier car and the original load rating was "93" and the original tire pressure spec was 35/33. You are probably safe. There is a formula for adjusting tire pressure to accommodate different load rated tires from the original, which I forget, but bumping the pressure up from 35 to 38 psi would be a good idea. Note that for speeds over 100 mph there is a higher pressure recommendation, and if that is a concern for you, then research the pressure formula and adjust the pressures accordingly. And note that you need to use the actual load capacity and maximum pressure, as noted on the sidewall, when making the correction.
