What baffled me in your earlier post was that the problem didn't appear until 115K miles of use. This would mean the minor cylinder wall wear due to rings and such ate a few ten-thousandths of aluminum and exposed an underlying (and a heretofore undiscovered) porosity problem. This just seems very strange to me.
Maybe the real cause is minor gasket seepage rather than porosity. Maybe it is coolant pump or seal wear. Regardless, I am glad to hear the problem has disappeared for you.
