Check to see WHY the booster failed. Since you have a '00, I assume an automatic, could be a defective brake booster pump (mounted on cylinder head, driven by camshaft). Normal to fail and leak engine oil into the booster causing it to fail.
If this occurred, can caused damage to the seals within the brake master cylinder which would describe your current brake condition. Usual replacement of the brake booster, vacuum pump, vac pump line, and brake master cylinder.
