It is a little bit more than to just change the pump.
Exhaust system has to be lowered and tank removed to access the pump. It is a ring holding the pump that can be tough to remove.
After what I hear from others, that code is usually the fuel pump failing on Saab's. I haven't seen it myself yet.
It is also a fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail that measure the fuel pressure. That sensor is known to fail often on other cars (Volvo) making it look like the fuel pump is bad.
Volvo sensor is a lot less money $220.00 versus Saab $490.00 and a lot easier to replace than the fuel pump so on the Volvo's I usually try with a sensor first before installing a new pump if the problem is intermittent.
