Possibly new to me turbo x

I've decided its time to trade up.
I currently have an '01 93se and am looking at 2008 and newer 9-3's.
I test drove a 2011 base with xwd, a 2009 aero xwd and a 2008 turbo x. I LOVE the turbo X. I was prepared to be very happy with the 2.o, but honestly felt it underwhelmed me compared to my 2001.
Now the turbo X, I liked the finish, and the driving was amazing, but I have a couple of reservations about pulling the trigger.
I konw blue tooth does not work on the 2008, but are there ipod integration kits? I don't need the xm radio, so hoping I can get the GM radio cord to run my ipod through the xm wiring with stereo and wheel controls. Possible?
I have 17" aero wheels, the 3 spoke that I currently use for summer on my '01. Would these work for snows on the turbo x? Brake clearance being the issue.
Truly, I would like a wagon, but I just haven't seen them available. Thoughts on the 09's coming off lease, will more SC's be around, or was production low in 09?
Is the turbo x worth it? I've always touted that I can get anywhere with my '01, not needing more power or all wheel drive. I really loved the driving characteristics, but will this kill mpg's?
Final thought, I was surprised by how nice the car felt. Seemed like a huge step up from what I have now.
I've heard a lot of talk about how GM had cheapened the car, and while I wish the window controls were in the middle, and that it didn't have the GM radio face, I was impressed with the fit and finish.
Any comments welcome.
Thanks,
Adam in VT
