My 2003 could not be driven after both springs broke while sitting parked in the driveway. At first I didn't notice it - the car looked a little odd since the front end was lower, but I was in a rush I didn't have time to check it out. But when I tried backing the car out of the driveway, the front tires were rubbing against the wheel wells, so I knew something was very wrong. Car was hauled to the local Saab dealer who took care of it immediately under the extended warranty I forgot whether I received the GM extended warranty letter before or after the springs broke, but I'm glad they broke when they did - back when parts were plentiful. Some guy on this board had to order his from Sweden or England or some very expensive-sounding place like that and get reimbursed after the fact from GM - that sounds like a pain.
