93 SS & Conv & SportCombi Bulletin Board 2003- | |
Was driving home from a long day of work today when my car suddenly died at an intersection. It was totally flat terrain. The SID said I had 41 miles to go prior to out of gas. Was able to put in about 1.5 gal from a jerrycan, and then about 12.5 gal at a gas station (albiet, I didn't top it off - just until it clicked off.) Any thoughts as to what could be the culprit? Was the XWD fuel tank actually smaller than the 16.1 gallons referenced in the manual (like 14 or so) and my SID completely out of whack?
