2007 9-3 Aero Question

Hi Folks,
I am looking to purchase a 2007 9-3 Aero with 78k on the clock. In doing my due diligence, I had an independant shop (who were AWESOME, by the way)give it a run through. Other than the hood being a re-paint, they found several stored ACM code: B0031, U1601, B0083 and B0020 (most refer to left side deployment control). When I returned to the dealer selling the car, he said that everything was fine and the codes were probably there from when he removed the front bumper and unhooked the sensor to replace the front spoiler. He has since cleared the codes and they have not come back. Also, when the car is started, the airbag light DOES come on and then go out, and there is no CEL.
I guess my question is 2-fold: 1) Is this a likely possibility for the ACM codes? 2) The independant shop is kind enough to offer to read the codes again, but they are 30 minutes away. Will the ACM codes show up on a hand-held ODBII scanner?
Thanks for all your help. I hope to be a member or the SAAB community again very soon!
