Just wanted to post that I solved the P0300 random misfires. As I checked all the suspected vaccum leak locations, I finally found the actual vacuum leak. It was the turbo outlet hose that is between the turbo and the Airbox/MAF. The hose plastics around the rubber boot that meets the turbo had cracked. Probably something to look for in the older years as a the palstic got really brittle. I can see that servicing the airbox over time could cause stress on this area and ultimately fracture the outlet. BTW, this part is unavailable, but I think making your own would not be too hard. I ended up using my parts car to fix this :)
