I have seen many premature failures of Monroe struts as the local pep boys installs them all the time on cars before they become my customers. I wouldn't put them on a shop loaner, let alone my TX (which I sold awhile ago).
From one perspective, I guess you could say at least they changed them, but from the other I would question the longevity and quality of the parts.
Their course of action will probably depend on how much of a fuss you want to make, an whether or not the OEM shocks are even available.
