Ill use mid grade for the trip then, it's seems wasteful to spend the money for a good tank of 93 just to burn it out in a couple of hrs, this car normally uses a tank of fuel every month or every other month. With it sitting so long with 93 octane by the time the tank needs to be refilled the fuel in the tank has no doubt depleted to an 89 octane or less.
Before I saw that post on the ng9-5 bb I would of used 87oct for the trip without hesitation and went back to 93 after, but now I'm like woh wait a minute. Thinking if its going to cost me thousands to fix the motor later on down the road just because I wanted to save 50 to 100$ in gas by using 87 heck ill just bite the bullet now, now thinking of it using mid grade would most likely only save me 25 to 50$ compared with just using 93, but I suppose a penny saved is a penny earned
