Does a door window switch need to be divorced/married? Posted by Tulsaab [Email] (#31) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Tulsaab) on Sun, 30 Jun 2013 18:43:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I've got a buddy who's considering buying a 2003 9-3. One of the issues it has is that the passenger side door is "dead" - windows and door lock doesn't work. I'd read that the switch module contains all the logic for each door independently, and was wondering if he bought a used window switch, if he needed to make sure it was "divorced" with a Tech 2 prior to installing it. If so, does a part need to be divorced in the original donor car, or can it be divorced with a tech 2 after being installed in the new car?
Thanks!
