I've had a couple clients come from Orlando (closest CarMax) after having similar unrepaired faults on their vehicles. The warranty provided by Carmax can be used at ANY repair facility (last I dealt with one was 18 months ago). The deductible was $100 vs $50 if you took it to a Carmax for repairs. On one '01 9-5 Aero a few years ago, I found almost $4k of work that needed to be taken care of after they had just left their repair shop in Orlando. Carmax covered everything with little to no fight using OE Saab parts. They (all extended warranty companies) tend to muck with labor op times, usually only providing payment at AllData or Mitchel times.
Agree with Anders, dont let them strip your vehicle down when things come apart which should be properly repaired (and covered).
