Brake Pressure Sensor / NHTSA ? Posted by 88SPGClone [Email] (#1317) [Profile/Gallery] (more from 88SPGClone) on Sun, 3 Nov 2013 06:22:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 07 Saab SC Aero V6 automatic and noticed others reported similar loss of brakes in the morning or upon start up.
Symptoms - Maybe in the past 1.5 years my brakes completely fail in the morning or initial start up 3 times. Basically the peddle has some resistance but nothing happens when I apply the brakes. I hit the peddle / brakes one more time and it's fine. So basically I keep my hands on the emergency brake in the morning.
I gave the Saab Authorized Service Center the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report / output but they did nothing but say "tech can't replicate." The service consultant was indifferent, showed no initiative or follow up. It's amazing to me all this wonderful technology & information we've created over the years and how only a scarce few are capable of applying or using anything that resembles critical thinking.
Has anyone successfully resolved this issue? If so, would you be kind enough to share what they (or you) did and part number(s)?
