Ian - Thanks for the input, and I do very much value Larry's input as well. However, let me make clear again that I haven't been "topping up" gas tank. I merely fill it up to the point where the gasoline pump automatically stops filling - just as I've done for the previous 80K miles. I *truly* do not think that my issue is related to the manner in which I fill my gas tank. BTW, I have experienced, now and then, your issue as well, where the gauge doesn't immediately go to full.
What is new and what I am presuming has caused the near-stalling is the fuel pump installation. Any thoughts on what might have gone awry in the fuel pump installation? The indy who installed it is not a Saab specialist, so I may need to give him some guidance if he's going to go back and revisit his work. Thanks all.
