Hi Joe, If I read your post correctly it appears the boost does not show on the gauge as dropping off so a turbo issue is probably not what your looking at. If you start with the most basic what type of plugs and how old remember a worn ignition system will usually show up under heavy boost. Checking for the dtc/code would be the best way to diagnose the problem though some codes do not give you a clear failure. I would start with checking out the plugs because saabs are very picky about the plugs. I think you car should have the ngk pfr6t 10g plugs with a gap of .9mm to 1.0mm or in inches between about .035 to .040. That would be something easy to check.
