If a loan or lien reported may mean it was a bank repo and only reason was the owner couldn't pay the payments, and when a person is so strapped for cash simple car maintenance goes right out the window.
It should drive like a new car, check the tires to see if they been changed. Saab equipped continental brand tires, if the tires are a different brand name or really good tread then the old owner had money around 20,000 miles of the cars life and its a good chance the oil was maintained till then. Check the oil filter, Saab mounted Mann filters to the car, a GM dealer also would mount a Mann filter if its any other brand name there's more proof the motor had oil done & check the cleanliness of the out side of the oil filter if it looks new and the current oil is brown oil was done about 4000 miles ago.
The dealer might have did an oil change recently to it which would void this hopefully not.
Last but not lest. Turn on the car let it idle for 5min or more have some one stand at the tail pipe and then punch the gas pedal (to the floor) just a short punch. The person standing by the tail pipe should not see any smoke. If they do bad turbo seals or rings.
Its cold so make sure its not condensation their seeing. After another test drive would clear the condensation and the motor would be at operating temps Then let it sit and idle.
I could go on, but these are simple and easy, a little more would be the brakes. In heavy in town driving 30,000 miles is about the time the car needs front brakes, check how much pad is left. Lots of pad means the brakes were resently changed, if the pad is about half the car did more hwy driving than constant stop and go, and simple math
Car has 30,000 miles in 4 years, that would be what.. 7,500 a year that's 630 a month like 158 a week bringing it to 22 miles a day. Kinda sounds like its been babied and was sitting most of its life. 'Now what kind of person would drive 22miles a day, perhaps grandma going to the store or get her hair done, and wouldn't know how to turn the service needed the car sends off. Kinda sounds like a winner
