I just purchased a complete install kit from http://incartec.co.uk. It looks real nice; all the connectors match, and it will supposedly even interface the steering wheel controls. Mechanically, I'm, well... challenged. There was a real nice fascia plate included, that fits the nooks and crannies of the dashboard hole where the old radio was, but the metal double DIN cage provided is about 1/2" all around smaller than the removed radio. Does anyone know how this is supposed to be installed? Should I be fabricating my own brackets, shims, and so forth? Doable, but sounds like a major PITA. Or is there something obvious here that I'm missing?
