Did you use SAAB GENUINE ignition coils, if not it is probably the coils.
Just had an 04 in with the weirdest misfire problems that had been to multiple shops before me including having the plugs and coils replaced.
Couldn't make heads or tail of the problem at first with codes pointing toward the CDM (P-0340, 1340 and 0325). Plugs were of proper brand and model.
Misfire racked up like crazy on cylinder 2-3 at every restart attempt and engine ran really crappy. I finally put two old coils (beige top) in on 2-3 and the misfire count started to rack up cylinder 1-4 so I put two beige coils there too and problem was gone.
Studying the new coils someone had installed revealed non name or markings whatsoever so I assume it is just another one of those cheap Chinese parts we are getting flooded with.
Customer picked up a set of used Saab genuine coils, the newer black style, and I put them in and it ran fine.
And yes, when I only had the cyl 2-3 coils replaced, the boost was really crappy but as soon as I replaced cyl 1-4 coils, I had full boost.
