Basically. I don't have a tech II, my procedure is:
1) Drive the car for 15 minutes
2) Drain fluid (about 2.6L the first time I did this on the factory fill, around 60k ago
3) Remove battery box etc. Replace drain plug.
4) Fill w/ 2.5L (or however much was removed). The small 'level' plug will begin to overflow at around 1.5L.
5) Put everything back together, drive around for another 15 minutes
6) Repeat 2-5.
You'd think that the fill level drain would be more accurate, and I'd tend to just fill until it started to flow out that plug, but given that it was over that line from the factory I default to just replacing however much fluid I drain.
