Not bad about 2 hours. I used wire snips to cut the rings holding the seat cover down and then used zip ties to replace it, very easy and should be easy to remove if I need to. If you use zip ties keep the locking end toward the outside makes it much easier to cinch it down. I bought a new seat heater, not sure I could ever get the old one off.
Bewarned that the sport seat heater is the only one I could find and it needs to be trimmed to fit. It also prevents you from using the front most ring attachments on each side but it doesn't seem to be an issue and the final result looks awesome.
Total cost was around $145 ($81 for the seat, $18 spring, $37 for the heater and about $10 to ship) for a new cusion, spring, and heater. Feels awesome compared to the old, worth the work if anyone is considering it.
