Rpms hang between shifts Posted by Paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Paul) on Thu, 17 Dec 2015 08:41:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi folks, I'm an '88 900T driver with a shot at getting a good deal on a very clean '06 9-3 Aero 6-speed manual. I'm mostly enjoying the car on the two-day roadtest loan but - and a big but so far - the rpms hang between gears, in fact they increase about 100-200 rpms with clutch in, before slowly dropping. Makes car unpleasant to shift and drive in town and no doubt makes the already iffy city fuel mileage even less. Nothing like anything I've driven. Am I not shifting it correctly? Do I need to shift it much more quickly? Sticky throttle or something? Or a case of "that's the way they all are"? Thanks, Paul
