Used 9-3SC with minor issues Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 21 Nov 2018 05:19:25 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My MIL want to regain her driver's license which means she will also need a car. In her local area I found a 2006 9-3SC with ~100K miles and a few issues. Price reflects the issues. Owning one of these I can see an advantage to my MIL of no lift-over for loading groceries and the such in the rear.
The issues:
- Right Wiper Arm not working: Easy one, just a new linkage or new nylon bushings on the existing linkage. $120 or $10 or Dismantler's Yard
- Driver's Side Window won't Raise: I am guessing this might be a failed driver's door switch pack. $130 or Dismantler. Other suggestions?
- Turn Signal Failure Alarm when signals are working: I battled this last year on my wife's car and solved it by replacing one nearly new lamp. Maybe the owner 'thinks' the lamps are working because of the clicking sound from the dash, or an intermittent connection with a lamp base. <$5 Other suggestions?
- Flaky fuel level gage: I have personal history with this one too and know the car needs the fuel level sender replaced. $500 for new installed Ouch!
Thanks
