I believe you need a Tech2 to set new sensors and assign locations. If they were on the car and functioning previously, car should pick them up after some driving. If they’re new aftermarket knockoffs, and not OE, they may not work at all (first hand experience). I also tried one of the TPMS reset devices available, didn’t work on our ‘10 9-3. Sensors can also die over time. Of course, check your tires’ pressure first.
