2.8L Oil Sensor - remove w/o dropping pan? Posted by iveand [Email] (#3155) [Profile/Gallery] (more from iveand) on Thu, 18 May 2023 13:53:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have read the horror stories of needing to pull the trans, timing chain cover, etc. to get the oil pan off to remove / replace the o-ring for the oil sensor. BUT in looking at mine it seems there is an external snap ring on the sensor. Is this a custom modification done by a prior owner? Can I be so lucky to be able to pull out the sensor to replace the o-ring? Or is this standard and it doesn't come out externally even though there is an external snap ring?
