Hello,
The MAF code is a little rare on a 9-3ss but usually means a failed MAF. I believe they are made by Hitachi. You may want to make sure that none of the hoses from the turbo to the intercooler and the intercooler to the throttle body loose or damaged. Make sure the metal pipe running under the engine from the turbo is not damaged. I have seen the welded flange broken off at times.
One thing you could try is to disconnect the MAF, start the car and shut it off 2 times. Then start it and go on a short test drive. It should use substitute values for the MAF and run a little better. There is a chance it will do nothing. Good Luck, Bernie
