If the compression test is fine, then I'm optimistic you may be ok. Keep an eye on the coolant as well. If there is head damage, coolant ingestion will be the first sign. With a slightly bent con-rod, it's actually possible the engine may never fail. I agree that it less likely a whole whack of water made it through the intake on a turbo, far more likely to pool in the intercooler. I assume you did not hit the water at wide open throttle in full boost, so you may be completely OK, they probably just put the hydraulic lock down as a precaution. It's difficult to diagnose without a tear down. Just keep an eye on oil and coolant. If they're ok, you're probably fine. A bit of water is unlikely to hurt the engine.
