Observation on rough idle...

2002 Saab 9-3 ~63K miles currently. (purchased June 2002).
Other than the 1st season change (~sept-Oct 2002), my car have always had "rough idle" that starts at season changes (April, September) and last until I "fix it".
Let me describe it:
During a cold start in the morning, when the temperature is ~10-15C, the car would start with the idle RPM between 1000 to 1500 RPM. However, after 1 second or so, it would drop below warm idle for 1/2 a second and the engine would sound "bad" for a few more second until the RPM moves back up to the safe 1200 RPM range. These few seconds becomes longer and rougher if I don't "fix it". Once, it got so bad that my car almost stalled driving out of the driveway.
The fix have been a proper techron treatment. (I always take the plugs out and check them, but they're always ok...)
However, my observation is that after the fix, the only difference is that the RPM never drop below 1000 RPM after a cold start until the car is slightly warmer.
I wonder if the issue is a dirty/clogged fuel injector or TB/AIC... Next weekend I'll probably (attempt to) clean the TB/AIC based on Dean's instructions..
Unfortunately, my driving involves a 6 minute drive to work to/from work each weekday. However, i do drive 250 miles to Toronto from SE Michigan regularly, so thats suppose to "clean out" many of the carbon buildup in the engine. I use Mobile 1 and change my oil+filter every 6000miles.
