I don't think you'll be disappointed with the reliability of a Saab. I've owned Japanese cars and they are not perfect either. (although they are very good). Saabs can deliver comparable reliabilty, but will bite harder if you neglect the maintainace. Do not scrimp on fluids and try to do a bit more then the minimum maintainance. i.e pamper your car a bit and it will reward you with a superior driving experience. While the Camry is an excellent car, I'm sure you will love your Saab and look forward to every journey more then you did with the Camry. My 1999 has been wonderful. After 6 years and 70K, I still love my car and look forward to driving it every time. The seats on Saab's are beyond anything available in a Japanese car.
