I don't know if those tings work, but this is what I do;
1st Clean the heck out them with elbow grease, hot water and soap. and WD40 for the real tough areas.
2nd Next apply liberally, a spray can of "PAM", yup the same stuff for your frying pans. leave this on- do not why off. Pam is a lot cheaper than so-called elixers from the auto stores.
3rd as a result you should be able to keep them squeaky clean with just awipe of a paper towel. Do it while you're filling up at the gas station. Keep the can in your trunk to immediatly re-apply.
