Hi everyone,

Well my dad is going to lease or buy a Saab. We are still deciding on a 9-3 or a 9-5. We came across a really good lease deal on a 2003 and 2004 9-5 aero with low km. They were both owned by the boss of the dealership. We both seemed to like the 2003 better because it had all the features that disappeared in 2004. Which one would be a better car? I’m afraid about the engine recall. I have been told that the 2003 are not affected by this problem and I have heard that 9-5 only from 1998 to 2000 are affected??? Yet, I have read other reports that 9-5s from 1998 till 2003 are affected? I am not sure who to believe…
What should we look out for in the 9-5s? Are 2003 affected by the DI failure or the engine recall? How about code 08 or pcv??? How do we look for these problems? We would be leasing the car for 2 to 3 years and we might buy it at the end.
