Ray,
Hey! Congrats on the Aero. I know you'll love it!
I transferred the Borbet alloy wheels and Yokohama avs dB tires that I'd bought, and formerly had on my '99 2.3LPT, to my new Aero. The car came with the BBS rims and stock tires, but I negotiated installation of the Yoko's/Borbets on the new Aero and deletion of the BBS's as part of the deal. These tires handle WONDERFULLY and are QUIET. See my posting elsewhere on this site (do a search on Yokohama avs dB or tire noise). The dealer is giving me the original tires, Michelin Pilots, mounted on the Saab "Klingon" wheels. I'll keep those as back ups and install them at the end of the lease.
Also search this site on the Pilot tires. Seems many don't like them. I had them on my Mazda Millenia and when I got a flat, they were costly to replace. The avs dB's are around $100 each. Quite reasonable for a great tire, I think.
I HATED the Michelin MXV4's on the '99. Very MEDIOCRE tire, and noisy!! I'm most pleased with the Yoko avs dB's. I know Coolknight here likes the Dunlop SP 9000's too. Check out his postings and reviews on TireRack.com for more information.
