I got the '01 2.3t base wagon with factory sports pack.
The pack included stuff from Aero as suspension, body kit, steering wheel, 17" wheels (I changed them to 17" quads). So the car looks like Aero without the badges. Aero has 308mm front disks and also different calipers
vs. I've allready boiled my brake fluids once with the stock 288mm brakes.
Thinking about building some kind of cooling ducts for the front brakes.
Engine is tuned by Nordics chip+exhaust stage II package, 250hp/370Nm.
Perfomance is great, "butt dyno" tells it's sometimes better than stock aero. Great torque at low rpm and it happily pulls to the rev limiter.
So If I did this excercise again, I would drop the aero suspension and
get aftermarket eibach+koni kit. Then upgrade the front brakes to AP racing
330mm monsters (would have to change to stock for winter, those brakes need 18" wheels).
