Gary,
You need to find out exactly where the block heater goes on your
engine to assess the difficulty of the job. Sorry, but I don't
have experience with your engine. I did install one on a '93 900S
and it was extremely tough as it had to go in a little space between
the engine block and the exhaust manifold...very tricky getting
the wrenches where they needed to be! Basically it is an easy job,
though: Drain coolant (save and reuse), remove plug on engine
block and install heater, replace coolant, run engine and check
for leaks. I say go for it unless it has to go in a very tight
spot. Get the right size wrenches first, too. Good Luck!
