I too would like to add long range lights to my Aero Wagon, but I think I will go with some mini-projector PIAAs mounted somehow (?).
The problem with replacing the factory fogs is their height above the road (esp with an Aero), and the fact that you would have to rewire the circuit so that they came on with the high beams only. Also, you will have to replace the entire light assemblies because the lens is all wrong for a pencil or driving pattern, and I don't think those replacements are available. Hopefully I am wrong about this.
If I were going to have to mess with the wiring, I would rather have pure drving lights with their own seperate wiring. I tend to use the fogs as DRLs anyway, on dim days - they are programmed to operate independently from the headlights.
Whatever you do, Joe, keep us informed please, and good luck.
