Another potential new owner

Good morning, all. Not an official owner, but I'm looking at 2002-2003 Saab 9-5s as a potential "new used" vehicle. I think pre-owned Saabs are great bargains as for whatever reason, they don't hold their value the way German or Japanese luxury/sport sedans do.
I'm doing lots of reading on this site to get familar with what to look for any any potential pitfalls of ownership. Thusfar, I haven't seen anything to scare me off that I would not potentially encounter in a MUCH more expensive Audi A6, BMW 5-series, or Benz E-klasse.
My question is as follows: If I end up purchasing the less-expensive Linear model (I'd prefer an Aero for many reasons, but nonetheless...) I have issues with the dash. I hate the fake wood. In fact, I despise it. Is it possible to purchase/order any type of kit to swap out the ugly fake wood for the aluminum dash trim that's found in the Aero? Has anyone done this? If so, how long did it take you and how much did the trim cost?
Any help would be mucho appreciado. Happy motoring, all.
