The whole job took 1/2 hour and was pretty straightforward using instructions posted on this site. The only 'special' tools you need are torx sockets to remove the inside grab handle.
I did take several pics of the job to assist others in future, if anyone can recommend a place I can host them and some explanatory text and link to from here Id be happy to put them up. Otherwise email me and I can send them to you.
The biggest problem I had with the job was getting the part, I ordered from site sponsor The Saab Site and got an order confirmation after going through the checkout process which included a real time credit card verification&approval. Later I got a phone call saying their software had chopped off the last digit of my cardnumber (strange, how could the approval go through with a missing digit), and I called back leaving a message with all the info necessary. I also called the next day to confirm everything was OK, and was told it was 'taken care of yesterday'. After a week of waiting emailed and was told 'your card was declined, and we emailed you about it', not true, no emails received after the confirmation email, plus plenty of credit left on the card anyway. Truth is saabsite just messed it up, so I wont be using them in future, or recommending them - imagine how P.O.d Id be if it was a part the car was off the road waiting for.
I finally ordered the part from the local dealer $161, (and paid for it using the same credit card!)
