Just finished installing an Audiovox FM Modulator (fmm100a). I purchased at local audio store for $49.99. I had to purchase antena conection (via Walmart - SCOSCHE Universal Antenna Adapter #UAA - has about 10 connections - $7). Purchased Y adapter to connect to ipod ($5).
It took approximately 1 hr for install. Removed stereo and ACC units, plus stereo cage. Placed Fm Modulator behind ACC unit. Ran power to cig lighter. Wires ran along pass side of center tunnel and up through arm rest where cup holder is. Wrapped wires in electrical tape for easy of placement. Used tiewraps to keep secured away from moving parts.
I set stereo to 88.7? and flip on power switch. Turn on Ipod and it comes thru extremely well - no problems. It will only work when ignition is in "on" position (may need to figure out how to run with ign off if I want).
Hope this helps. I did not want to open up the stereo or use my iTrip. Static was driving me crazy!
I'm sorry for any spelling mistakes as I did it outside in Maine (3'F plus windchill).
Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.
Mike
