Manual Transmission noise

Just this morning, my manual transmission started to make a loud noise. The
sound doesn't sound like grinding. It's high pitched. The sound is not
objectionable, but I'm afraid that the sound indicates that something is
wrong with my transmission.
The sound doesn't seem to be coming from the engine because at highway
speeds I don't hear it.
When the car is at rest, if I put the car in neutral, step on the brake
and blip the throttle, I hear the sound.
I just recently had the manual transmission fluid replaced.
Do you know what the sound could be? I'm at a loss.
Cheers,
Jae
