I am only commenting on Pirelli in general. It could well be that the Asymetrico are an improvement in the cold.
The P4000 and P6000 that SAAB fit in the UK are definitely not suitable however. It appears that the weight at the front coupled to the immense torque of the SAAB engine, strips off more rubber than on a harder compound. I did 10K on a set, before it needed replacing.
I understand from other SAAB drivers that they have lost road adhesion in corners, once the tires had warmed up.
I now use Goodyear NCT, which quite a few UK SAAB drivers have switched to. I suspect that those tires are well suited to the type of tarmac used in the UK.
