You can get the 2.0L as 150Hp and 192Hp.
SAAB has a kit that keeps the warranty and all... ask for it.
Depending on your taxes... buy a 150Hp car, drive a 192Hp one.
If you wish to chip your SAAB, don't buy junk like ie.
"Powerchips" or something like that... thats asking for
trouble... rather go to Nordic, Speedparts or Hirsch or so...
Ask around on this site.
The Turbo is no trouble... just use good oil and stick
with the one you select, ie. 5w-40 or 5w-50 for hot areas.
Don't switch oils... that can damage turbo seals as each oil
uses different solvents.
The older... 1997-1999 9-5s sometimes had problems with their
ECU and Direct Ignition. This has been fixed. A DI system should
last around 120000 Km.
Fuel burn is between 8-12L depending on highway or city...
you can improve this by fitting an updated ECU and a larger
intercooler (good idea for Singapore)...
Again... depending on your tax/insurance system, you may wish
to buy a 150Hp car, add the 192Hp ECU and an Aero Intercooler
and save on fuel, taxes and insurance.
Regards,
Coolknight
