I too have the disappearing pixels on my '02 and some of them do come back from time-to-time. I suspected humidity had an effect and by many of these posts it seems to contribute, but some never come back. Where are the bulbs obtained from besides the dealer?

I know that if you take the SID out, a Tech 2 is required to "reprogram" the SID in order to operate, but, is there any problem with using the car without the SID (ie. the time it takes to send out for repair, etc.)?

I also saw a post where someone used foam strips, I guess too shield moisture from the unit, and that helped, but I guess you have to remove the radio to apply the foam strips? By the way, if you remove the radio, does that too have to be reprogrammed using a Tech 2 or is it a simple plug and unplug and it will work? You need a DIN tool to remove the radio....where do you get a DIN tool? I have one for my '90 900's radio somewhere - is it the same?
