IT IS possible to get a bad new part out of the box, but for that to happen again and again and again? At that point, you just have to sit down and think for awhile before putting a 4th throttle body on the car.

How many miles between the repairs and that problem reoccurs.
Is it feasable for the shop to drive the car until it happens or does it take 500-1000 miles between occurrences?

No mechanics have the interest to drive the car for hours and hours without getting paid and they tend to throw parts at the car instead.
This is not the dealers fault but the way US auto repair market have decided to run its business and not pay much for fault tracing but only for the actual repairs.

If the same fault code is back this time it is a chance that the wires from computer to throttle body are damaged somewhere.

The fault code indicates that the throttle is staying open after you have released the gas pedal (that's a bad thing to happen, as you can understand) so the built in safety system makes the car go into limphome mode.

Make sure the car have the latest software in the Trionic computer (I would think they already have addressed that?).

After that, I would probably extract the two + two wire connectors from computer to throttle body that drives the throttle plate motor and install two new wires on the side removing the possibility of damaged or chafed wires somewhere through the car body.

The wires in question is found at pin 24 and 48 on computer and pin 5 and 10 at throttle body.
